Andrew Battista is the Librarian for Geospatial Information Systems at New York University, where he provides geospatial guidance and manages collections for the university community. Andrew is a contributor to the GeoBlacklight open source data discovery project, and he regularly teaches classes on data cleaning, geospatial analysis, and data visualization. Previously, Andrew earned a Ph.D. in English Literature, and he has taught classes in Art History and the Politics of Information.
