In his role as director of DASH, Benjamin works closely with faculty and graduate students to integrate emerging digital technologies into their research methodologies as well as their teaching design. He has published in The American Historian, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Ethnic & Racial Studies, Natural Hazards Observer, and Television & New Media. Benjamin holds a Ph.D. in American Studies and his research focuses on the history of risk, actuarial science, and insurance. For the DCN, he curates humanities data.
