Sophia provides data management instruction and guidance on best practices for organizing, documenting, preserving, and publishing research data. Sophia also works as one of the data curators for Duke’s data repository program. Prior to joining Duke, Sophia was a Research Data Manager at the UNC Odum Institute for Research in Social Science Data Archive where she curated social science research data. Within that role, Sophia also worked on the CRADLE project that created the Research Data Management and Sharing online course and worked with political science journals to develop workflows that incorporate data citation, data curation, and more reproducible research practices.

Sophia was also the Principal Investigator for the Specialized Data Curation Pilot Prokect, funded by IMLS: RE-252343-OLS-22.
