In partnership with the Association of Research Libraries, the University of Minnesota Libraries is seeking a Special Programs Manager to support the Data Curation Network (DCN) and Realities of Academic Data Sharing Initiative (RADS). Through generous funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (LG-254930-OLS-23), the Special Programs Manager will be funded until July 31, 2026. The minimum salary for this position is $55,000. This position will be fully remote, with expected working hours in the central time zone.

The successful candidate will
Support the Realities of Academic Data Sharing (RADS) IMLS-funded research at ARL
- Coordinate with the RADS Project Manager to administer surveys and interviews for the ARL cost model research project.
- Support RADS members’ local research data management and sharing services. This includes collaboratively delivering research data service education and as needed to librarians at member institutions.
Support Data Curation Network Operations
- Monitor new data curation submissions, assign submissions to curators using appropriate triage techniques.
- Promote and communicate the DCN’s accomplishments and initiatives by hosting webinars, contributing to website content, and updating the website.
- Support DCN committees with outputs and implementation of strategic goals.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training and instructional materials.
