Greg Janée is founder and director of the Research Data Services unit at the UCSB Library, which provides data-related consultation services to faculty and students, contributes to campus Software Carpentry workshops, and develops preservation solutions for research data. Greg has over twenty years experience as researcher and developer in digital preservation, geospatial digital libraries, and computational provenance, including, at the California Digital Library, developing the EZID persistent identifier service, and at UCSB, developing the Alexandria Digital Library. Greg holds an M.S. in Computer Science.
